~Nothing says Shopping like WEAPONS!~
So....today I went shopping.....for my new "little friend" (read in your best Pachino voice).
I have done my research at some gun shops as well as on the internet and have decided on the Springfield XD 9MM.
I have the Springfield over my friends GLOCK 23 I practiced with prior to the CCW class and the GLOCK 99 I tested with. This little beauty (did I just type that?) has many little cool bells and whistles.
In addition to the immediately accurate sights (on the GLOCKS U need to lower the nose out the barrel and bring back up to the target), it has two separate indicators that tell U the weapon is cocked (I like saying that...cocked!) ...and that there is a round in the chamber.
The magazine release is on both sides of the grip (for those lefties or if your good wing is down). It has a metal magazine which makes the grip a little narrower (for my little female hands) and at the back of the grip, there is a lever that your hand has to be around in order for the gun to fire. The slide will not even move if your hand is not around the grip (akin to the digital cameras that will not work unless your hot little hand is around the grip).
Last, the trigger is SMOOTH, and has a little safety trigger in the middle of the bigger trigger that must all be pulled together in order for the gun to fire. All in all ....I like this weapon. It has good weight, a great price, and not to big, to carry concealed.
MY MOM WOULD BE SO PROUD!

Don't they know your on MEDS!!! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?!?!?!?! LOL, kidding, but of course. Well, Alex is transitioning well; he said "Hi" to everyone and laughed a bit. Mumbled some too. Hasn't torn into his pinata yet but I hope to get some pics of him on my blog soon so I'll keep you in the know. Let me know if you need a hand with anything 'round the house an all that jazz. Didn't want to be rude and discuss details then and there so let me know if you need help cleaning up, etc. later, okay. Is it, blog atcha later? Hm? Don't know, but keep me posted; I'll do the same. Luv ya - mean it!
Sounds like a very cool gun! Can I go shooting with you?
pix of your baby???
(wipes drool from corners of mouth) Can I hold it? will you show us pictures of it? Maybe you should start a scrapbook!
So jealous Minta...it's been years since I've even held a gun in my hands!
Take care, congrats on your accomplishment!

GE....yeah..well I havent bought the weapon just yet :) and thnx for the offer...I may need the help getting things settled again.....gonna be strange. We discussed him taking the beareded dragons with him....I'll miss them....but I've got enough furkids to keep me busy and I think it will be nice for him to have some little creatures depending on him. (if that makes sense at all).
Glad Alex is settling well. He is such a comical birdy once he opens up he probably wont shut up LOL U can put a cover on his cage at nite to get him to sleep....and remember U are his bestest friend if you have frenchfries :) just not too many!
nihilly....of course! ON my birthday at the gun club I get a free rental of an OOZIE!! (did I even spell that right?) I cant wait ...should be a blast! I will most def take pics.
I will put a pic up as soon as she joins the fam. I 'm going to wai til I get my permit...so I can buy and carry the same day. No reason for two backround checks....who knows what they may find !! lol
