~~Relax~~shop~~enlighten~~

Well.....
it was rediculously hot here in AZ this weekend...~ like 120+?!?
WTF!!?
D & I found ourselves being
more than doing....
which in my opinion
was appropriate
because it was HHDL (His Holiness the Dalai Lama)
Birthday Friday =).... Happy Birthday !!

We did manage to go shopping for a new kitchen table
& a beautiful one was found....
its from India....
& heavier than it looks....
WAY heavier....
until I can find some matching chairs....
I need to stain mine darker.......

Both Sat & Sun in honor of HH's b-day...
we watched 'Kundun"...(the story of HHDL from his discovery as a child til his need to flee to India....)& 7 yrs in Tibet..... (true story of Olympic mountaineer....who befriends & tutors HHDL during the war ......eventually changing from a egomaniac to a humanitarian in the journey)
fantabulous movies....both.

I also managed to fill
both the regular & the recycle bins ....
with results from my shredding
of yrs 1994 thru 2004 of receipts / data docs.....

well...there is three additional boxes sitting
in the living room
full & waiting their turn....
but I think I am finally done shredding...
I still have files to go thru
boxes of papers to file or throw...
& foto's to frame..scan & organize
in my new office area.

I have to admit....it sure is nice to have a table to sit at in the kitchen.......
that isn't also my desk...computer...research...foto area =)
& equally nice to have a view out the family room window while during my work....
I also moved HHDL, flowers, the Buddha incense & daily candle area in order to free up
the side of the couch for the babies bed.....
although....
Baxter,the boy pup I'm dogsitting /finding home for/ adopted?!?seems to enjoy the cold cement more....

I may tackle some of the books I've been meaning to read....
since I seem to have been given the gift of extra time......
