~~~I sooo proud of me~~~

so.....U remember the pool saga?....basically.....I could've just dropped some koi into it last week... a few plants ......& it would've been all good......
anywho.......two weeks ago....
I bit the bullet
had the 'pool guy' out......
...now...U know it is bad.....
when the first thing the guy asks is
so....is this a plaster or pebble-tek....
HA!......
I told him.....

pool maintenance is on the 'boy list' of chores....
& the boy of this house moved out monthes ago
hence.......the starter Koi-pond appearance....

once its drained.....chlorine-powerwashed....
we might find additional work that needs to be done....."

yeah......I knew that going in......

.....he left a pump at the bottom......
& ....no U couldn't see it...lol
told me to be home to monitor it.....& call him when it was drained.......

that was Sunday before last......
.....as it drained I took the powerwasher to the slime & spent 2 hours washing the silt like layer to the middle to also be sucked up .......
unfortunately....the three inches left in the bottom was too thick to go thru the pump after I washed it all off the walls, steps, bench where the jacuzzi jets are......and the rest of the bottom.......
& by doing this I saved couple hundred in labor......
of course.....that same $ went towards the new pool light installation.......lol

He rewired and installed it last week after a chlorine wash.
....then he tells me I need to call the salt water system tech......because the cell needs to be replaced.......

After I filled the pool back up.......I arranged for the PoolPilot guy to come out.....
((which is this fri......))

OK......so where am I going with all this ???

was to prepare U for y I am sooo proud of myself......

tonite.....I poured in 300 lbs of salt.....(bought 400) but waiting to test water before adding rest....not sure of total gallons in pool......
then I took the filter system apart...
flushed it...
rinsed out the main filter container
& spent 2 hours rinsing out the filter cartridges......
which look like really big air filters U put in the car.......
for lack of a better visual......

put it all back together...
crossed my fingers.......
& flipped the switch......
SUCCESS!
humming along .......pop ups in the floor of the pool all working like they should......
pressure where it should be ......no strange noises....

yeah...babee!!!........Now.....pray that its only the cell that needs to be replaced on fri.......
