SO...today, after I wrote an explanation regarding why I CHOOSE to not celebrate Thanksgiving (see below):

er.....about that holiday?.....yeah.....remember me?...Native American?.....I dont celebrate when they came over to rape, spread diseases, and pillage our villages......

The response I got from someone I WAS getting to know.......

anyway.. you don't have to be for a holiday to celebrate it?? i'm not christian and i celebrat christmas.. i like any holiday you can eat a lot and get drunk..lol..

i work with a full blood Hopi, she love thanksgiving! and christmas! so give up the grudge, the war is over!.. lol...

Basically I feel like he told me:

Forget I am Native
Get over myself & any honor of my heritage that I stand for......
& just get drunk & fat.

UM .....yeahhhhhh.........I think I am done talkin with this one.....

i guess i see us all as ancestors... their is only one animal, homosapien.. whether your recent relative are from southwest north america or australia, we all are the same..

so chill the hell out and enjoy the festivities... lol

OK.....Chuckles lets look at this:
1st.....I think U meant --> "Their" to be 'THERE"
2nd.....homosapien is TWO WORDS! Homo sapien
3rd.....my ancestors are from Canada...& my reservation is in Northern MN. They settled there after migrating down from Canada...thanx for checking on that.......
