just gathering my thoughts....& wondering if u still stop by.....
Am I a Snob?!.....
So, as you know ....if you have been following my blog for any amount of time....I am owned by 4 of the cutest little monsters. 2 Pinheads (Pebs & Bella) & 2 Rat Terriers (KorKor & ZoesterCoaster Luv~Buglet).
Zoe is the youngest (& by far the MOST destructive puppy I have ever had the joy of living with). Among the shoes, purses, items of clothing, books, & her toys which have skillfully met their demise.....this past weekend I discovered a nice softball size hole in the underside of the (1200 count) duvet cover!!!
Okay....I thought....could be worse.....(can't really give any examples right now ....but that is what I told myself....). Yesterday, on the way home from work, I stopped into Linens & Things to replace the duvet...thinking possibly I would just buy a whole 'nother set.
As I browsed thru the store....I began thinking I had either missed the 'higher count' section ...or they didnt carry anything above a thread count of 650. (butt puckers & heart skips a beat at the thought of my skin sleeping on that sandpaper!).
I pulled a clerk aside, asking her "is this the highest U carry?" pointing to the 650 sheets.
She looks puzzled & says "Im sorry?"
I think to myself...."ah yes...I too, am sorry, if that is your answer!"... & tell her I am looking for minimum of 900 thread count sheets ?
Wide~eyed reply....."oh...no...I'm sorry we don't carry that expensive of product".
Now.....I can not be the only one to be aware of Smart Bargains.com.... & Overstock.com...am I? I decided to not start that conversation with her......& just resolved myself to shop this eve for a new set from Smart Bargains. I would use Overstock.com....but they don't allow U to browse by thread count on their site.......
SO.....here is a question for my dear readers (all 5 of U).......What thread count do U have?...& if U don't know what I am speaking of here......PLEASE for the pleasure of your skin (nekkid is best ~ of course!).... & your sleeping experience....INVESTIGATE... & SPLURGE ....(the money spent will be worth every penny) Once U do......I promise....U will never sleep on anything less that 900 ct!

i've never heard of smart bargins.
I think... that is think... mine are....... don't quote me here but. maybe....650... maybe.. could be lower.
U know ms Alien....considering your past posts around insomnia issues......upgrading to 900 or 1100 might just solve that ...=)
and yes.....smartbargains.com has high quality - high thread count egyptian cotton sheet sets that I could never afford in a retail establishment for the price of shit-sets at retail.....go check them out! (and of course ..report back ...)

no idea, but I know they weren't cheap.
I don't know mine...its not that high I know...I tend to like it a little rough! ;)
I think mine are about 600. I've never had any higher thread count than that. But I'll check out smart bargains and see if I can find something nice for my birthday!
