Sad News among Musings Furkids
For those of U who have been following the sad news of my Rottie Prosche getting ill with valley fever, and her struggles over the last month or so with being ill, I'm sad to report she passed away yesterday.
I know it was for the best and shes at peace now....but its still so hard to break that habit of morning kisses and treats. The valley fever moved thru her very quickly and seemed to just eat her alive. Im not so sure the valley fever was the only issue affecting her health. Her once very strong and chubby rottie self was so skinny and weak towards the end.
Interestingly enough though....she came to me in a dream the morning before....she was her healthly self....and happy...playing with her little minpin sisters in the sun in the backyard. Then I remember her snuggling me before turning and running into the sun.
I expected when I woke up to go outside and see her laying in the yard already gone, but she was up and sitting with her sister. I guess I wasnt surprised when I got home that she had passed. We buried her last nite next to Rocket in her favorite lounging point of view in the planter boxes. I bet she is busy catching up with Ms. Fontaine who passed over last month and my little Yorkie Rocket who we buried about 4 yrs ago.
Blessed Be Porsche......We Love & Miss U!

So very sorry Minta! I'm glad she's not suffering, but it's so very sad to loose a loved one. Hugs. Stacie
Thank You Stacie....and yes... I was torn between being what I viewed as potentially selfish by keeping her going ......vs. letting her go and ease her suffering. Its always a tough decision....I'm glad she was the stronger of us and decided to go. I so wish they could talk during these times. =)
I am so so sorry...It is so hard to lose a friend that is with you every day and gives you their all every minute!
i am so sorry for your loss.
It is so hard to loose a pet,, they are sometimes more of a comfort in our lives than we realize.
Thank U Nil... and I think thats why it is so painful....its unconditional love..& there was nothing I could do so save her or make her more comfortable!
Lori....my babies are my comfort....I could have THE WORST DAY...and come home to have it erased by their love.... thanx....=)
Get out, why didn't you call?! I was hoping she was getting better since I hadn't heard back from you on her condition. I figured it wasn't cancer and didn't realize the Valley Fever could be so fatal!? WOW I am SO sorry about her passing. I am wow, I'm just in shock.
I couldnt call U...because Im still at that stage where I become a water fountain and its hard to understand what Im saying thru my blubbering......
so....yeah....I know shes better off tho...she was not the same porsche we all loved with her big ole butt and wrinkled forhead dufus look......
You know I realized that AFTER I sent you the note. I know I'd be a drunk mess myself.
