Well.....Comedy won out at 44%.....next was Horror at 17%....and then a tie between Mystery & Porn at 11%. Not sure what conclusions to draw from this?? I guess I'm glad comedy won out.....but rather sad that Foreign & Independent films recieved NO votes?........PEOPLE!!! are there any of you out there expanding your minds ?...or have we become a society of poeple who watch movies that require really no thinking, pondering, examination of our own lifes experiences ? mmmmph........

I think it depends. If your daily life is taxing and you go to the movies to simply get away from it then yea, comedy and NOT thinking would certainly win out. When going with others you also tend to choose films that will appeal to the bunch so again, the mainstream seems to fit the bill. Myself for myself, I'll see what strikes my fancy and INDIEs usually cut the mustard. But the question was, which do you offer up for the group...depends on the group you're outing with...you know?
Goeve is on the same track as me. The most important part of that question for me was the whole group thing. I mean, if it's a group that's going, I'd assume that it's for a fun evening. Therefore, comedy would fit the bill. But if it's a quiet evening at home by yourself or a friend or two, then it changes the whole concept.
