The universe Answered…

So…a few posts ago I asked the universe “why”….in regards to how people are afraid to “Live their Truth”. I also made reference to my realization of motives behind the angry messages I receive. One of my life goals is to LIVE MY TRUTH. And what I mean by that is to live as if its my last day. Tell people I love them, be honest without fear of reprisal….let shit go that doesn’t matter…..overcome fears….stand for what is right…..refuse to participate in the negative……and celebrate life!

Now...the reason for this post. I’ve actually been marinating (that was for U Kitty)…over how to present my Friday experience. It was life changing. It was a karmic message. It was a leap for me…..and I didn’t get hurt. It rocked!!!!!

About two months ago I ordered tickets to Benise. I had watched his DVD one afternoon on PBS and made a note to attend his performance if he ever came to PHX. I didn’t have anyone in mind to go with ………but ordered them anyway anticipating I would figure out who to invite. Normally when I’m not working….I budget my monies and refrain from spending on frivolous things. This normally would fall into that category. But for some reason……I paid 130.00 anyway. (perhaps part of the test).

After working at my new job this week, and fighting off allergies and the start of this ugly cold I’ve managed to catch; I attempted to pawn them off to workmates, friends, neighbors. Not sure if it was because of everyone’s busy previous weekend entertaining Mr. Cottontail, but I was unable to gift them to anyone.

OK….plan B…scalp them. I was willing to give a two for one deal. These tickets were center stage….20 rows up from the stage. Great tickets at the Dodge Theatre which has a slightly sloping seating arrangement. I drove downtown….used the parking pass that came with them, realized I was a little late to get top dollar and consigned myself to just give them away. You know…do a good deed…and all that.

As I am walking towards the theatre, I ask two other couples if they would like better seats than that they have…….of course they didn’t believe me….who would ? Right? Some girl walks up and says she will just give her great tickets away……I probably wouldn’t believe me either.

Just as I am getting near the doors after talking myself into going to this event by myself, (something I usually have a hard time doing), there is a single women walking away from the building. I asked her if she needed a ticket? She proceeds to tell me that she lives in Scottsdale (at least 25 -40 mins one way) and after she took the tickets out of her purse to mapquest the theater…..she left them on the desk and zipped to the theatre. Her companion was given a ticket from one of the rickshaw guys and she offered to drive back to get her ticket. (Personally, I thought that was ridiculous and rather selfish of him…but anywho).

It was at this point that I realized this was one of those moments where I could “LIVE MY TRUTH”. I said….no…..U can sit with me……and gave her a ticket. She said something about paying 165.00 for the tickets from some broker and didn’t have the funds to pay me. I told her not to bother. The show was fantastic…..she didn’t get to sit with her companion…but we exchanged numbers and I have a new friend.

I guess there was a reason I paid for tickets I couldn’t afford, couldn’t get rid of them, was delayed in getting to the theater to scalp them, and overcame my fear of going to events by myself. It was to help another in need. That simple.

NAMASTE’

That so kicks ass!!! And thanks for the verbage btw. Very glad they didn't go to waste and what's better that it went the way it did. Furthermore, I agree, whoever her "companion" was, he was someone she really ought not to see in the future as a "companion" for it should have been HIM who offered to get the other ticket. Good save and GOOD FORTUNE for you! Wow, that really is awesome - BIG SMILE!
