Science?....Religion?....or just Nature?
"Buddhism has the characteristics of what would be expected in the cosmic religion for the future: It trancends a personal God, avoids dogma and theology; it covers both the natural and the spiritual, and it is based on a religious sense aspiring from the experience of all things, natural and spiritual, as a meaningful unity."

by definition religion deals with the nature of god. of course, buddha refused to address that topic as irrelivant to his mission. so it is NOT a religion. Seeing that science and nature cant be seperated it would be that. the four noble truths (the crux of buddhism) simply advise us how to better be in tune with life/existance by curbing our desires. furthermore, he insisted that noone believe or accept his teachings without exploring his findings in depth on thier own. what religion takes TAHT approach?
good quote to post. pass along the wisdom!
yes, i know. lots of type-os. one should strive to not desire a type-o free comment gallery!

Any way you look at it religion is just a way of trying to get the masses to live, breath and think like someone else.
On a side note, is it me or have spammers found yet another way to annoy the crap out of people. I'm coming across several blogs' comments where people are putting their links to blogs that are buisness related (i.e. wedding photos and car stereo systems). They're like locusts, I tell ya!
PS: I found you through another blogger's site :)
WOW!!! Thanks for YOUR comment! I've gotten alot of support for the crap I've gone through, but your comment really punched me where I needed to be. Things have gotten much better since then for me. Thanks again!
I love that quote!
dr. m2b,
for gods sake go into your settings and uncheck the box that allows anonymous people to comment!
asshats, all of them!
Is there a box to check that lets people with other blogs (not just blogger) comment?
=) heh. I meant, can you make your comments available to more than Blogger bloggers? =) (without making it avail. to anon. at the same time). I'm sorry, my question was unclear.
